The IXIA two-fabric armchair changes character with the viewpoint: a restrained cream front and an ochre patterned back. This arrangement introduces colour without covering the whole seat in print.

A shape seen from different angles

The outer backrest creates a patterned band around a plain inner surface. Rounded upholstery extends almost to the floor, concealing most of the dark support. An opening between back and seat breaks up the otherwise substantial upholstered form.
