Bhawan brown rug 300x400

Pass from 200 × 300 to 300 × 400 cm format on the Bhawan Brown carpet is changing status. The first defines an area. The second defines a part. At 300 cm deep and 400 cm wide, this wool and cotton carpet literally becomes the floor of a living room, the one on which all the rest rests, in the own sense as in the figurative sense. The fractured pattern of the Bhawan, with its large sand blocks separated by dark brown lines obtained by differentiated mowing, takes an additional magnitude on this format: the fragments seem even greater, the fractures even more drawn, and the effect of mineral surface still more convincing. 41.6 kg, 3.5 kg per m², made by hand. A large high-end lounge carpet which, unlike many more to this template, has something to say beyond its simple function to cover the ground.

A design that immediately attracts the look

On the 300 × 400 cm format, something changes in the perception of the Bhawan pattern. The fragments become truly monucent: some blocks are 40 to 50 cm wide, with irregular contours that never repeat exactly. The separation lines, deeper than on the lower format because the total surface is larger and the more expanded craft work, dig visible furrows even from a standing position. The cracked geological or clay-ground card effects here its full power: we no longer think of a decorative carpet, we think of a natural surface that we would have decided to put inside. The brown sand hue, neither hot nor too cold, is brighter on this format because it is seen since further: the average tone harmonizes, and local variations disappear overall to give way to a gentle and deep overall hue. In the oblique natural light of an afternoon, the reliefs of the differentiated mowing project of slight shadows that give the entire surface of the carpet a life that the photos can not really capture.

Why choose this model for your interior?

• 300 × 400 cm for large areas that deserve a soil to their height: In a lounge of 35 m² and more, a lower size carpet floats without anchoring the composition. At this format, the Bhawan positions the furniture, delimits the living area and gives the room consistency that no other element can produce.
• A large scale pattern that reads from the entrance of the room: The wide fragments of the bhawan have been visible and identifiable for 5 to 6 meters away. It's a rare quality in a patterned carpet: have a drawing large enough to exist in space, not just under the feet.
• 41.6 kg for permanent stability without subcrawm: At this weight and this weight of 3.5 kg / m², the carpet does not migrate, do not gondola, does not rise to the passage of the furniture. There is exactly where we have laid down without intervention.
• Differentiated mowing creating real relief, not printed: The fracture lines between the fragments are obtained by a shorter mowing of the fibers at these precise locations. The relief is in the material, not on the surface. It does not fade with time or with the passage.
• Craft wool and cotton for a long structural life: The wool keeps its volume and resists cropping far beyond what synthetic fibers can hold on intense daily use. With adapted interview, this carpet will still be beautiful in fifteen years.

In which room install this carpet?

A large open living room, ideally in a contemporary house or a generous volume apartment, is the environment that makes it justice. On a natural oak flooring or waxed concrete floor, the Bhawan Brown creates an immediate dialogue between the sand hue of the carpet and the neutral bottom of the ground, with the dark brown fracture lines as a visual punctuation. This works particularly well to this format, it is the so-called "carpet as plan" composition: sofa fully placed on the carpet, armchairs completely on, coffee table in the center. The room becomes a composition around the carpet, not around the furniture. In terms of pallet, the brown sand tint of the Bhawan supports very well associating them with broken white, natural linen, dark wood and aged brass or matte copper touches. It is less good with the very graphic inner black and pure white interiors, which would dilute its natural heat. In a master bedroom with generous dimensions, it can also operate in full surface, almost wall-mounted, to create this cocoon feel that only a large quality mat can produce in a resting space.

An ideal choice for an affirmed decoration

The Bhawan Brown carpet 300 × 400 cm is a decision, not a purchase. The nuance counts. At this format and at this level of artisanal quality, we do not choose a carpet because it lacked something under the coffee table. It is chosen because we decided that the soil deserved as much attention as the walls or furniture, and that the broken motif of the Bhawan says exactly what we meant on this interior. Its brown sand hue will go through the years without age because it belongs to the timeless natural color register, those of sand, clay, dry stone. His motive will follow no trend because it does not come from a trend: it comes from nature, the way the matter cracks when it dries. And that, it does not date. Neither in five years nor in fifteen. That's exactly why a carpet like this is an investment that deserves serious reflecting, and never regret once.
