Console table GOLD RUSH grey glass and gold-toned steel KARE Design

The console table GOLD RUSH grey glass and gold-toned steel KARE Design brings a refined linear accent to a hallway or behind a sofa. Its long, narrow smoked-grey glass top rests on an open rectangular metal frame, finished in a warm gold tone that catches the light without overwhelming the room. Positioned in an entrance, it offers a discreet landing space for keys, a lamp and a favourite object while keeping the floor visually clear. Along a living-room wall, its slim profile adds structure without blocking circulation or competing with larger furniture pieces. The interplay between the tinted glass surface and the delicate metallic outline creates a contemporary look that suits both minimalist and more eclectic interiors. This console is particularly effective where you want to draw a subtle line of perspective, guiding the eye through the space while giving your decorative pieces a dedicated stage.

Visual design and aesthetic presence

The GOLD RUSH console table is defined by its elongated smoked-grey glass top, a clean rectangle that appears to float above a graphic metal structure. The base is composed of fine, gold-toned steel bars forming a large outer rectangle, within which the legs repeat inwards, creating a rhythm of parallel lines. This recess of the inner frame adds depth and a sense of architectural layering, while keeping the silhouette light. The grey-tinted glass softens reflections, giving a subtle mirror effect that highlights objects placed on top without looking flashy. Proportions are carefully balanced: the height is comfortable for placing lamps and decorative pieces at eye level, while the length visually stretches the wall it leans against. The open sides and underside keep the design airy, allowing surrounding flooring and skirting boards to remain fully visible and contributing to an overall impression of elegant simplicity.

Why choose this console table

• Smoked-grey glass top provides a sophisticated neutral surface that enhances decorative objects while blending easily with existing colour palettes and materials.
• Open gold-toned steel frame introduces a graphic linear element, adding structure to bare walls without appearing bulky or visually heavy.
• Long, narrow proportions are perfect for hallways and behind-sofa placements, delivering display space without encroaching on everyday walking routes.
• Subtle contrast between tinted glass and warm metal bridges modern, vintage and classic pieces, simplifying the task of creating a cohesive interior scheme.
• Light, airy silhouette keeps floors visible and uncluttered, making smaller rooms feel more open while still allowing a strong decorative statement.

Where to place it in your home

The GOLD RUSH console table works especially well wherever space is limited but you want a clear decorative gesture. In a hallway, position it along the longest wall, centred under a mirror or artwork to create a welcoming vignette without narrowing the passage. Behind a sofa, it can define a subtle boundary between seating and circulation, supporting a table lamp, a few books and a sculptural vase. Near a window, the gold-toned frame will catch natural light, while the smoked glass top reflects it gently. In a dining area, place it against a free wall as a discreet serving and display surface. Long-term decorative coherence

To ensure this console remains a harmonious element as your interior evolves, think in terms of families of materials and tones. The smoked-grey glass pairs beautifully with medium to dark woods, black accents and soft textiles in stone, charcoal or muted blue. The gold-toned steel can be echoed in small details such as lamp bases, picture frames or curtain poles, rather than large competing pieces. Over time, you might move the table from a hallway to the living room or dining space; maintain coherence by repeating either the metallic finish or the tinted glass effect nearby. This console also supports layered styling: start minimal with a single lamp and bowl, then gradually add books or art objects, keeping negative space around them. In each new arrangement, its linear frame will continue to anchor the composition without dictating a rigid style.
