SOREN 4-drawer chest ash veneer light wood

The SOREN 4-drawer chest in light ash veneer brings both storage and a sculptural presence to your room. Measuring 70 × 40 × 90 cm, it offers generous vertical capacity while remaining easy to place against a wall or beside a doorway. The continuous ash grain accentuates the vertical lines and gives the impression of a solid block shaped by soft curves. Rounded side panels soften the profile and reduce sharp corners, making this chest suitable for circulation areas. The four drawers, made from fir wood, open with a discreet push-to-open system, keeping the entire front perfectly smooth. This light wood piece pairs beautifully with white walls, linen tones or natural flooring, in a bedroom, hallway or living room where you need practical storage that also catches the eye without overwhelming the space.

A design that immediately catches the eye

The SOREN chest stands out through its tall, narrow volume framed by fully rounded sides, almost half-cylinders, encasing a plane of horizontal drawers. Across every visible surface the ash veneer reveals a pronounced, elongated grain, adding warmth and subtle movement as the light changes during the day. The softly oval top is ideal for displaying a lamp, a slim vase or framed photos while maintaining the flowing outline. With no visible handles, the design remains minimal, letting the rhythm of the four discreet drawer lines structure the front. A recessed plinth makes the chest appear to float slightly above the floor, visually lightening the piece even in compact rooms. This balance between strict geometry and enveloping curves makes the SOREN an elegant focal point that still combines easily with Scandinavian, Japandi or contemporary interiors.

Why choose this model for your interior?

• This slim chest uses height rather than width, providing four practical drawers when floor space is limited in a bedroom, hallway or compact studio.
• The light ash veneer brightens darker rooms and coordinates effortlessly with beige, linen, soft grey or terracotta accents in contemporary decorating schemes.
• Rounded sides and an oval top minimise sharp corners in busy walkways, making the chest suitable beside a bed, doorway or staircase landing.
• The push-to-open mechanism removes visible handles, allowing the SOREN chest to blend into minimalist interiors where clean, uninterrupted lines are essential.
• With fir wood drawers offering organised storage, this piece keeps clothing, textiles or accessories neatly hidden while the sculptural exterior enhances the overall room composition.

In which room should you place this product?

In a main bedroom, the SOREN 4-drawer chest works well alongside a wardrobe or opposite the bed, its 90 cm height comfortable for arranging daily essentials, framed photos and a reading lamp. The softly rounded sides and visible ash grain introduce a gentle vertical accent without overwhelming compact spaces. Thanks to its 40 cm depth, it also suits a hallway or entrance, storing scarves, small bags and accessories while still allowing people to pass easily. In a living room, it becomes a compact side cabinet to hide table linen, board games or stationery while supporting an artful lamp, ceramics or plants on top. For a cohesive look with other storage options, explore the wider selection in the Chest of drawers category. Combine this piece with natural textiles, a neutral rug and a few black details to emphasise its outline while keeping the atmosphere calm, welcoming and visually balanced throughout the home.

An ideal choice for a confident decor

Choosing the SOREN chest means introducing a piece that quietly structures your space and brings relief to flat walls. Its rounded silhouette, unusual for storage furniture, immediately animates an empty wall or neglected corner without appearing bulky or intrusive. The light ash tones and expressive grain harmonise with many flooring types, from pale wood to polished concrete or terrazzo, making it easy to integrate into existing interiors. This chest particularly appeals if you favour simple lines, natural finishes and furniture that remains relevant as tastes evolve. Over time you can refresh its look with different arrangements on the top surface, from greenery to ceramics, candles or stacks of books. Used alone or paired with matching light-wood elements, the SOREN chest helps anchor a warm, streamlined decor that highlights materials and proportions rather than ornament or excess detail.
