Floor lamp FISHER white Sompex

The Floor lamp FISHER white Sompex is made for generous living rooms where one central light source is never quite enough. Its long, sweeping metal arch stretches elegantly from a circular base to a broad, pale cylindrical fabric shade, ideal when placed behind a large corner sofa. From there, the shade can hover above the coffee table, bringing light exactly where people gather. In a dining area, you can slide the base to the side of the table so the arc reaches over the centre without blocking views. The crisp white structure blends easily with light walls, pale wood floors and contemporary furniture, giving the room a calm, airy atmosphere. Rather than multiplying small lamps, this floor lamp acts as a single, clear gesture that visually anchors the seating zone and subtly separates it from the rest of an open-plan space.

Visual character and style

The Floor lamp FISHER white Sompex stands out through its impressive height and elegant curve. The slender metal stem rises from the circular base, then sweeps widely into the room, creating a graceful line that frames the seating area. Its uniform white finish enhances the impression of lightness, allowing the lamp to appear almost weightless despite its size. At the end of the arc, the large cylindrical fabric shade provides a soft counterbalance, both in visual mass and texture. The pale textile surface contrasts gently with the smooth metal, adding warmth to the overall composition. From different angles, the lamp draws a clear graphic silhouette: a vertical stroke, then a horizontal reach, ending in a calm, rounded volume. This combination of minimal structure and generous shade makes it a strong yet refined presence in any contemporary interior.

Why choose this lamp

• Generous arch projects light over sofas or tables, freeing floor space and avoiding the need for ceiling fixtures in seating areas.
• Large pale cylindrical fabric shade gives a visually soft, enveloping glow ideal for relaxed evenings and convivial conversations at home.
• Slender white metal structure pairs effortlessly with neutral palettes, Scandinavian styles and clean-lined contemporary furniture in open spaces.
• Circular base tucks neatly beside sofas or low cabinets, allowing the long stem to reach over without cluttering walking paths.
• Distinctive graphic silhouette creates an instant focal point, helping define zones within open-plan living rooms or loft-style interiors.

Best placement ideas

The Floor lamp FISHER white Sompex truly shines when used to solve difficult lighting spots. In a large living room, position the circular base just behind a sectional sofa, letting the arch cross above the corner to reach the middle of the coffee table. This creates a welcoming pool of light without crowding side tables. In smaller spaces, place the base in a corner between sofa and wall so the shade hangs nearer the centre, visually enlarging the room. For dining zones, anchor the base beside a sideboard and allow the arc to lean above the table, replacing a pendant when overhead wiring is unavailable. Lasting decorative coherence

To keep the Floor lamp FISHER white Sompex visually relevant as your interior evolves, build a palette that echoes its calm, straightforward lines. Combine it with sofas in light grey, sand or ink blue, and add cushions that pick up the lamp’s white in subtle patterns or piping. Its cylindrical shade resonates beautifully with round coffee tables, drum side tables and circular rugs, so repeating these shapes will naturally unify the room. Over time, you can move the lamp from the living area to a reading corner or home office: its graphic arc will still provide structure and rhythm. Mix it with materials like pale oak, ash, matte black metal and soft textiles to maintain balance between warmth and clarity, ensuring the lamp remains a quiet, confident highlight rather than competing with future decorative additions.
