Floor lamp ARC white Sompex

The Floor lamp ARC white Sompex draws a sweeping curve of light, perfect for defining a living-room seating area without cluttering the centre. Positioned beside a generous corner sofa, its long arch reaches over the coffee table while the floor remains clear for circulation. The conical fabric shade softens brightness, creating a comfortable atmosphere for reading, relaxing or evening conversations. A low rectangular base anchors the lamp discreetly, sliding along the edge of a rug or against a wall without dominating the scene. The all-white finish gives the piece a clean, architectural character that suits contemporary spaces, yet it also blends easily with more casual interiors. Thanks to its generous reach, you can enjoy a pendant-like lighting effect exactly where you need it, without ceiling wiring, making this lamp especially interesting for rented homes, flexible open-plan layouts or lounge corners that you like to rearrange frequently.

Visual design and graceful proportions

Visually, the Floor lamp ARC white Sompex impresses through its continuous sweeping line. Rising vertically from the low rectangular base, the slender structure quickly transitions into a broad arc that stretches far into the room, like a drawn stroke of light. The uniform white colour from base to shade emphasises this flowing silhouette, avoiding visual breaks and giving the lamp a calm, graphic presence. The large conical fabric shade gently widens towards the bottom, balancing the long projection of the arm and offering a generous surface to diffuse light. At ground level, the flat rectangular base provides a crisp geometric counterpoint to the gentle curve above, stabilising the composition without appearing bulky. The considerable height and reach turn this lamp into more than a functional object: it becomes an interior feature that frames a sofa, reading nook or small dining table, almost like a minimalist sculpture with a practical purpose.

Why choose this floor lamp

• Generous arch lets you position the base at the room’s edge while lighting a sofa or coffee table as if from a ceiling pendant.
• All-white structure and shade create a clean, graphic look that integrates easily with minimalist, Scandinavian or light-toned contemporary interiors.
• Conical fabric shade softens direct glare, producing a pleasant, enveloping light suitable for relaxed evenings, reading sessions or watching television.
• Low rectangular base tucks neatly beside a wall, sofa edge or under a sideboard overhang, preserving free floor space in busy living rooms.
• Tall overall height defines zones in open-plan spaces, giving a sense of architectural structure without adding partitions or heavy furniture pieces.

Where to place this lamp in your home

At 210 cm high, the Floor lamp ARC white Sompex is naturally suited to living rooms or open-plan spaces where you want focused light without a central ceiling fixture. Place the base slightly behind or beside your sofa so that the arc spans the coffee table, allowing conversation to take place under a soft pool of light. In a reading corner, slide the base behind an armchair, aiming the conical shade to fall just in front of your shoulder. In dining areas without overhead wiring, ARC can stand against the wall while illuminating a compact table. If you are exploring other lighting options, consult our selection of floor lamps for modern living rooms to combine multiple pieces harmoniously. Thanks to its long reach and low base, this lamp also works well near sliding doors, media units or bookcases, where you want light overhead but furniture kept low.

Lasting decorative coherence over time

To keep the Floor lamp ARC white Sompex visually coherent as your interior evolves, consider building a palette around its calm white presence. Light woods, soft greys and natural textiles such as bouclé or linen-style upholstery emphasise its airy character, while black metal accents on coffee tables or picture frames echo the lamp’s graphic outline through contrast. Because the design is simple and colour-neutral, it adapts gracefully if you later introduce bolder cushions, rugs or art pieces; the lamp becomes a quiet anchor amid changing accents. Its elongated arc also works well when furniture layouts shift: move the base slightly and you can still span a new sofa arrangement or a relocated reading chair. By pairing this floor lamp with smaller table lamps or wall lights at different heights, you create a layered lighting scheme that remains harmonious even as you swap furniture or re-colour the room.
