Floor lamp MESA frosted glass Sompex

The Floor lamp MESA frosted glass Sompex is perfectly at home beside a low lounge chair in the living room, where you want a soft glow at eye level rather than an overhead beam. Its circular frosted-glass top, set at 60 cm, recalls a small luminous side table that slips neatly next to a sofa corner or daybed. The slim metallic cylindrical frame, open and airy with a round rail at the base, lets the floor and rug remain fully visible, keeping the room light and uncluttered. Used near a reading armchair, it defines an intimate zone without blocking the view across the space. In a compact studio, it brings a sculptural accent that doubles as mood lighting. The balance between glass disc and fine metal makes MESA a versatile piece for contemporary interiors, Nordic-inspired rooms or any setting that appreciates clear, graphic lines.

Visual design and light presence

In terms of appearance, the MESA floor lamp is all about clarity and balance. The large circular frosted-glass top dominates the silhouette, forming a clean disc that seems to hover above the floor. Frosting softens the look of the light source, transforming it into an even halo rather than a bright point. Supporting this disc, the metallic open cylinder reads almost like a drawn outline: slender verticals rise from a circular bottom rail that just kisses the floor. This ring visually mirrors the glass disc above, creating a calm dialogue between two circles of different diameters. The negative space inside the frame is just as important as the structure itself, letting surrounding textures and colors remain visible. At 60 cm high and 40 cm across, MESA is substantial enough to catch the eye, yet low and light enough to feel approachable and informal in everyday use.

Why choose this floor lamp

• The frosted-glass disc delivers gentle, diffused light, ideal for evenings when you prefer atmosphere and comfort instead of bright illumination.
• The open cylindrical frame keeps sightlines free, allowing rugs, parquet or concrete floors to remain visible and visually continuous across the room.
• Its 60 cm height sits naturally beside low sofas or lounge chairs, bridging the gap between table lamp intimacy and floor lamp presence.
• The repeated circular shapes at top and base introduce quiet geometric structure, perfect for anchoring minimalist or carefully edited contemporary interiors.
• Neutral glass and metal finishes coordinate effortlessly with pale woods, charcoal upholstery or colorful textiles, adapting as your furniture and artwork evolve.

Where to place the MESA lamp

With a height of 60 cm and a 40 cm diameter, the MESA floor lamp is ideal for low, human-scale zones where people sit and relax. Place it beside the armrest of a corner sofa so that the glowing disc hovers just above seat height, creating a cozy bubble for reading or conversation. In a small living room, it can stand between two facing chairs, offering shared light without a bulky table. In a bedroom, position it near a bench or accent chair instead of a conventional bedside lamp for a hotel-like lounge corner. Its circular footprint also works beautifully at the end of a hallway or near a wide window ledge. Long-term decorative harmony

The MESA floor lamp is an easy anchor for long-term decorative schemes because its design leans on fundamental shapes rather than trends. The combination of frosted glass and slender metal pairs comfortably with many furniture eras, from mid-century inspired pieces to current minimalist sofas. To maintain visual coherence over time, echo its circular motif in small ways: a round mirror, curved poufs, or a rug with soft, organic patterns. Neutral wall colors such as warm white, stone, or pale grey will let the glowing disc read clearly, while muted greens or blues can gently frame its light. As you rearrange your living room or move it to a study, MESA keeps its role as a calm, graphic accent. By choosing accessories in similar finishes, you ensure the lamp remains a quiet link between old and new elements in your evolving space.
