Wall coat rack ARBRE FOURMIS black branches and golden ants KARE Design

The Wall coat rack ARBRE FOURMIS black branches and golden ants KARE Design instantly turns a plain hallway wall into a playful focal point. Mounted near your front door or above a slim shoe bench, it behaves like a vertical drawing of a tree climbing upward, while remaining clearly functional. The central trunk sends out slender black branches that double as hooks, ready for everyday coats, scarves or a favourite tote bag. Scattered along the twigs, tiny golden ants appear to march upwards, adding a witty, almost surreal accent without overwhelming the silhouette. Because the structure is tall and narrow, it occupies very little wall width and keeps the floor clear, which is ideal in compact entrances. It also works perfectly behind a door or beside a console table, where its graphic presence adds character to the space while keeping outerwear and accessories gathered in one clearly defined spot.

Nature-inspired graphic design

The ARBRE FOURMIS wall coat rack combines an organic idea with a very graphic execution. A slim, upright bar evokes a minimalist tree trunk, from which multiple black branches stretch out irregularly like a winter tree sketched in ink. Each branch tip is slightly bent upward to form a hook, so the functional elements remain part of the same flowing outline. The matte black finish outlines the silhouette crisply against a pale wall, while the small golden ants cling to the branches as if they were really climbing. Their metallic sheen catches the light at different angles, injecting small sparks of warmth into the composition. Measuring about 160 cm high and 69 cm wide, yet only 9 cm deep, the piece feels visually airy, almost two-dimensional, as if someone had transformed a wall illustration into a usable, three-dimensional object.

Why this coat rack stands out

• Tree-inspired silhouette provides multiple hanging points without heavy visual mass, perfect for keeping small hallways organised yet expressive.
• Golden ant details introduce a humorous, artistic twist that personalises contemporary, eclectic or creative interiors without becoming kitsch or excessive.
• Black steel branches read like a wall drawing, turning a simple storage item into a decorative feature that structures the entrance visually.
• Tall, narrow proportions save floor space and wall width, allowing free circulation even in slim corridors or behind a frequently used door.
• Branch tips at varying heights suit coats, bags and scarves, helping each family member claim a spot while maintaining an overall coherent look.

Best places to install your wall coat rack

With its slim depth and vertical format, the ARBRE FOURMIS wall coat rack is easy to integrate into many layouts. In a compact entrance, position it beside the front door so guests naturally gravitate towards it as they arrive. Pair it with a shallow console and mirror opposite to create a complete welcome zone without crowding the passage. In a hallway, centre it along a blank stretch of wall where it can break up the corridor effect and add function at once. Behind a door, it becomes a discreet storage strip for everyday jackets and bags, with branches peeking out when the door is open. In a studio apartment, use it between living and sleeping areas to mark an imaginary threshold. Ensuring long-term decorative harmony

To keep the ARBRE FOURMIS coat rack visually relevant as your home evolves, build a palette around its black-and-gold character. Let the black branches echo in metal-framed mirrors, dark console legs or black picture frames, creating a subtle rhythm along the wall. Pick up the golden ants with a brass tray for keys, a warm-toned table lamp base or small golden hooks elsewhere in the room. A light wall colour will highlight its silhouette, while a deeper shade creates a moody backdrop where the gold accents seem to glow. If you later rearrange furniture, this wall rack can migrate from entrance to bedroom or home office, where it could host hats, bags or creative accessories. Its stylised tree motif is distinctive yet versatile enough to bridge different decorating phases, from minimalist to more eclectic combinations of textures and colours.
