The Bookcase PACO matte white and rounded niches KARE Design turns a forgotten strip of wall into a curated vertical gallery. Its tall, narrow body is ideal beside a light fabric sofa in a contemporary living room, or tucked between a window and a corner to frame a reading armchair. The smooth matte white finish gently catches daylight, allowing books, ceramics and plants to take center stage. Stacked arched niches invite you to compose small scenes: a pile of novels, a sculptural vase, a trailing plant softening the geometry. The outer frame reads as a compact column, giving structure to the room without visually weighing it down. Whether you place it in a studio next to the bed or against a hallway wall, this bookcase offers practical storage while acting as a sculptural accent that subtly anchors the surrounding furniture.
The Bookcase PACO matte white and rounded niches KARE Design stands out with its totem-like vertical silhouette. A thick, rectangular outer frame rises to 180 cm, forming a crisp white column that immediately catches the eye. Inside this frame, a sequence of rounded-arch compartments creates asymmetric rhythms: some niches are taller, others shorter, shifting slightly from side to side. This interplay of curves and offsets breaks away from the usual grid of straight shelves and introduces a soft, architectural cadence. The matte white lacquered MDF keeps reflections minimal, emphasizing the shadows that nestle inside each arch and along the inner edges. From the side, the bookcase remains slim, making the full front view even more striking. Empty, it already looks like a minimalist sculpture; once partially filled, the colours and textures of books and objects animate the niche composition without overwhelming the clean outline.
With dimensions of 180 cm height, 48 cm length and 32 cm width, the Bookcase PACO is made for narrow spots where classic shelving won’t fit. Slide it beside a sofa to visually finish the seating area and keep your current reads within reach. In a small hallway, it can occupy the end wall, greeting guests with a curated display. In a bedroom, position it next to a low chest of drawers to add height and store favourite books and candles. For a home office, place it behind your desk so the arched niches serve as a graphic backdrop during calls. You can also combine it with other contemporary units from our broader shelf selection to build a dynamic, asymmetrical library wall that remains visually light. Its modest footprint leaves walking paths clear while still giving each niche enough room to highlight individual objects.
To keep the Bookcase PACO integrated in your decor over time, consider it as a white architectural base that adapts to changing accents. Pair its matte surface with natural materials like oak flooring, linen upholstery and woven baskets to soften the graphic arches. Over the years, let the contents evolve: rotate stacks of books with ceramics, glass pieces and small framed prints, always leaving some niches intentionally empty to preserve lightness. The rounded forms sit beautifully alongside circular mirrors, curved armchairs or globe lamps, reinforcing a theme of gentle geometry. If your palette changes from pastel to deeper tones, the neutral white remains a calm anchor. You can even move the bookcase from living room to office or bedroom; its slim, column-like profile ensures it still reads as a considered design element, harmonising with new layouts and arrangements.
