The Side table VOLCANO black glass and silver base Ø60 cm KARE Design turns any seating area into a small, curated scene. Its round black glass top instantly anchors the eye, making it a natural choice beside a fabric sofa or a leather armchair. Place it at the end of a straight couch to frame a reading lamp, a candle and your favourite book. The sculptural silver-toned base adds a touch of gallery character without overwhelming the room, so the piece suits both minimalist and more eclectic interiors. In a home office, it becomes a refined stand for a striking vase or a decorative object, subtly elevating the corner. With its balanced height and diameter, this side table offers generous surface without feeling bulky, making it as practical as it is visually distinctive in living rooms, bedrooms or reception spaces.
The VOLCANO side table is defined by its bold contrast between a deep black glass top and a fluid silver base. The circular top, 60 cm across, appears like a dark mirror, catching light and silhouettes around it. Its glossy finish enhances reflections, while the black tone visually grounds surrounding furniture. Below, the sculptural metal base in a silver finish twists into organic curves, creating an airy, almost molten shape. Open sections within the base allow light to pass through, preventing any sense of visual heaviness. The nickel-plated aluminium surface is smooth and bright, echoing chrome details and modern lighting. With a height of 60 cm, the proportions feel comfortable next to most sofas and lounge chairs, placing objects at a convenient level. Together, the strong circular top and dynamic base create a statement piece that reads as more than just a surface, but as a small art object.
With its balanced size, the VOLCANO side table adapts easily to different rooms. Next to a sofa, align the 60 cm top so it slightly overlaps the armrest line, ensuring your lamp or drink sits comfortably close. Between two armchairs, its circular form encourages conversation and keeps both seats equally served. In a compact living room, use it instead of a larger coffee table to free up floor space while still having a generous surface at hand. It can also act as a striking accent in a wide hallway or landing, holding a vase or sculptural object. In a bedroom, the 60 cm height makes it a dramatic alternative to a bedside table, especially next to a tall headboard or upholstered bed.
To keep the VOLCANO side table visually relevant as your interior evolves, build around its key themes: contrast, reflection and fluid lines. The black glass top pairs well with pale walls, grey textiles and soft beiges, helping it stand out without feeling heavy. Echo the silver base with other metallic accents like lamp bases, picture frames or curtain rods in chrome or nickel finishes. When rearranging furniture, let its round shape mediate between straight-edged pieces such as rectangular sofas and cabinets, softening the overall geometry. Complementary materials like light wood, textured rugs and velvet cushions will temper the sleek glass and metal for a warmer atmosphere. If you later shift towards bolder colours, this table still holds its place as a neutral yet striking anchor, harmonising disparate elements through its timeless black-and-silver palette.
