Large cream striped IXIA four-seat sofa

This large IXIA sofa extends fine cream and beige stripes over two seat cushions and two broad back cushions. Smaller side cushions soften its straight arms, while brown feet punctuate the long base. IXIA specifies polyester and linen upholstery, double-feather seat filling and removable zippered covers for the seat, back and side cushions. The supplier recommends dry cleaning.

Design and materials

Across the longer front, the stripes read as a measured rhythm rather than a simple texture. The central join between the seats gives the eye a pause. Low arms finish the line, while loose side cushions keep the ends from appearing rigid. Brown feet repeat at intervals below.

Why choose this sofa?

• Fine stripes pace the long front.
• Two seats define its centre.
• Side cushions loosen the straight arms.
• Cream keeps the pattern quiet.
• Brown feet ground the ends.

Where should it go?

Let the full length be seen as visitors enter the living room. A broad plain rug can unite nearby chairs without competing with the pattern. Two modest tables may keep the central seam visible. Check the overall dimensions and walking routes before placing the sofa.

A considered interior choice

Plain curtains and matte ceramics allow the stripe to remain the main motif. Wood can echo the brown feet without matching their shade exactly. The photographed styling objects are separate. IXIA identifies removable cushion covers, not a removable cover for the sofa base.
