Large dark beige IXIA sofa with piped cushions

This large IXIA sofa stretches a low, generous line across an open living room. Two broad seat cushions, two back cushions and smaller side cushions carry visible fabric piping. The dark beige upholstery responds to timber flooring without introducing a bold motif. IXIA states polyester upholstery, double-feather seat filling and a fully removable cover; dry cleaning is recommended.

Design and materials

The central joint gives the long seat a point of symmetry. Piped edges distinguish each cushion, even in soft light, while the low upholstered base holds the outline together. In the official photograph a side table on fine legs leaves the central seating area open.

Why choose this sofa?

• A long line shapes the living room.
• Piping gives cushions a steady rhythm.
• Dark beige warms the wide seat.
• The low base anchors the group.
• A side table frees the centre.

Where should it go?

Allow the sofa its full width rather than pressing a heavy chair against either end. A side table can serve the seats while keeping the central passage clear. Check the technical measurements and use a pale rug of suitable size to connect the seating group.

A considered interior choice

Dark timber and light ceramics bring contrast to the quiet beige. Keep thick throws away from the piped edges, which provide much of the visual detail. The pictured table and decor are separate items; care for the removable cover according to IXIA's directions.
