Rechargeable table lamp ALVA anthracite Sompex

The Rechargeable table lamp ALVA anthracite Sompex brings intimate, cable-free light exactly where you want it, from dining table to sideboard. Its compact lantern-like silhouette slips easily between plates, books or decorative objects, adding a gentle glow without cluttering the surface. The cylindrical white diffuser provides soft, even light, framed by charcoal-grey top and bottom rims that give the lamp a graphic, contemporary outline. A warm brown loop crowns the design, inviting you to pick it up and move the light around the room. On a small balcony bistro table, a console in the hallway or beside an armchair, this portable table lamp becomes a discreet companion to evening routines. Its balanced proportions and neutral colours help it blend into existing schemes, whether paired with pale wood furniture or darker, more industrial pieces in metal and stone.

Visual design and luminous character

The visual appeal of the Rechargeable table lamp ALVA anthracite Sompex lies in its clear geometry and calm presence. The lamp is structured by two solid anthracite rings at the top and base, enclosing a generous white cylinder that becomes the main luminous element. This vertical volume feels stable yet light, like a contemporary lantern distilled to its essentials. The brown carrying loop adds a tactile accent and softens the otherwise graphic silhouette, subtly echoing leather straps or natural fibres. Because the diffuser occupies most of the height, the light appears to radiate from within a column, creating a comfortable glow at eye level when placed on a table. The narrow diameter keeps the design visually slender, so it never dominates a setting. Overall, its interplay of charcoal, white and warm brown makes it easy to integrate into both minimalist interiors and more eclectic, layered decors.

Why choose this lamp

• Slender cylindrical form saves valuable table space while still providing a defined pool of light for meals, reading sessions or board games.
• Charcoal anthracite rims frame the white diffuser, delivering a clean, graphic look that complements contemporary, Scandinavian or industrial-inspired furniture.
• Brown carrying loop highlights the lamp’s portable nature, encouraging spontaneous moves from dining area to balcony or cosy reading corner.
• Soft, enveloping glow from the tall diffuser helps create relaxed evening atmospheres, ideal for intimate dinners or late-night conversations with friends.
• Lantern-style silhouette works as a decorative object even when switched off, especially when grouped with other compact table lamps.

Where to place this lamp in your home

Thanks to its modest height and slim diameter, the Rechargeable table lamp ALVA anthracite Sompex adapts easily to tight surfaces. On a dining table, position it between serving dishes to illuminate the centre without blocking sightlines across the table. On a narrow console, pair it with a small stack of books and a bowl for keys to transform a hallway into a welcoming passage. On a desk, it can sit beside a laptop as a softer complement to task lighting, ideal for unwinding after work. Near a window, place it on a deep sill to draw attention to plants or decorative objects. If you enjoy mixing several lights, explore the broader selection in our table lamp collection to combine ALVA with taller or more sculptural models for layered lighting. With its 18.5 cm height and 7.5 cm diameter, it forms a neat vertical accent that slips easily between plates, vases and glassware without visually crowding a dining table, sideboard or windowsill, while the anthracite top ring remains clearly visible from a seated position.

Long-term decorative coherence

The Rechargeable table lamp ALVA anthracite Sompex is an easy piece to keep as your interior evolves. Its combination of charcoal, white and warm brown pairs naturally with changing wall colours, from crisp white to muted terracotta or deep blue. To maintain visual continuity, echo its tones in nearby accessories: a charcoal picture frame, a beige linen runner or a terracotta vase will subtly tie the scene together. Over time, you can shift the lamp from dining area to bedroom, then to a home office, while it still feels at home. Use its compact lantern shape as a recurring motif, repeating cylindrical forms in candleholders or vases. This repetition creates a quiet rhythm in your decor, allowing you to rearrange furniture and textiles freely while the lamp continues to anchor your lighting story with its calm, understated presence.
