Dining table MESA natural mango and black base IXIA

The Dining table MESA natural mango and black base IXIA instantly becomes the social core of your home when you place it centre stage in an open-plan dining room. Its generous round top in light mango wood invites slow family breakfasts, festive dinners and long evenings spent talking. The natural grain and warm hue of the wood bring softness, while the strong black base gives the composition a clear graphic structure. Because there are no corners, everyone sits at an equal distance, facing each other, which naturally encourages conversation. The star-shaped base also keeps the perimeter visually light, leaving space for different chair styles. Whether your interior leans contemporary, slightly industrial or more cosy, this table acts as a unifying piece that organises the room and creates a dedicated, inviting dining area where people will naturally gather.

Visual design and character

The MESA dining table stands out through the balance between its wide circular top and its sculptural metal base. The natural mango wood top shows subtle variations in tone, from honey to slightly deeper golden shades, with visible grain patterns giving the surface a lively, organic aspect. Its edge looks clean and precise, underlining the contemporary feel. Underneath, the black metal legs intersect to form a star, spreading outwards to ensure a stable stance while remaining visually open. These crossed lines create a dynamic silhouette that contrasts nicely with the calm, continuous curve of the top. The black finish grounds the piece and echoes many modern furnishings, while the warm wood keeps the atmosphere welcoming. Together, they create a striking yet approachable table that suits everyday meals just as well as more dressed-up occasions.

Why choose this table

• Large round mango-wood top promotes direct eye contact and relaxed conversation, with no sharp corners breaking the connection between guests.
• Graphic black star base adds sculptural interest while keeping the area under the table open for comfortable legroom and flexible chair placement.
• Combination of warm natural wood and deep black metal works with contemporary, industrial-inspired or cosy interiors without overwhelming existing decor.
• Round format is ideal for family meals, board games and sharing platters, creating a central island everyone can easily reach from their seat.
• Generous dimensions allow the table to anchor the dining zone, pairing beautifully with statement lighting, a rug and matching side furniture.

Where to place this table

Thanks to its sizeable circular top and centred star base, the MESA table is perfect as the main element in a dedicated dining room or open-plan living area. In a square room, position it right in the middle, leaving enough clearance for chairs to slide back comfortably and for people to circulate all around. In a long living space, place it between kitchen and lounge as a friendly transition zone. A round or softly textured rug slightly larger than the top will emphasise its shape and visually frame the dining area. Above, a single bold pendant or a cluster of smaller lamps will underline its central role. Long-term decorative harmony

To ensure lasting visual coherence around the MESA table, build a palette that highlights both the warm mango top and the strong black base. Slim black metal chairs will echo the star legs, while seats in natural wood close to the tabletop shade create a more relaxed, Scandinavian-inspired mood. Textiles in off-white, sand, rust or forest green will soften the contrast and keep the ambiance warm. Over time, you can refresh the dining area simply by changing accessories: a new rug, cushions on the chairs, or different tableware colours will give the setting a new twist without challenging the central piece. Because the design is both simple and characterful, the table can move from a more industrial look to a softer, bohemian or minimalist direction as your tastes evolve, remaining a stable visual anchor.
