The Dining table MESA natural mango and black base IXIA becomes the visual anchor of a welcoming living-dining area. Its rectangular top in light mango wood brings warmth and texture to everyday meals, while the star-shaped black metal legs introduce a strong contemporary accent. Placed centrally between kitchen and lounge, the table naturally hosts breakfasts, homework sessions and long dinners with friends. The 160 cm length offers generous surface without overwhelming a medium-sized room, and the central star base means there are no corner legs to block chairs. This makes MESA especially comfortable when guests slide in from the sides or ends. Against a pale wall or near a large window, the natural grain catches the light, giving depth to the wood. The table quietly structures the room, defining the dining zone in open-plan spaces and bringing together different functions around a single, inviting focal point.
MESA’s design balances clean geometry and organic warmth. The rectangular mango-wood top, 160 cm by 90 cm, stretches in a simple, linear gesture, its natural grain creating subtle movement across the surface. The tone is light to medium, which softens the overall impression and avoids visual heaviness. Beneath, the black metal base forms a dynamic star: several legs cross and join toward the center, then diverge again toward the floor. This creates angled lines that feel almost architectural, yet the open structure keeps the table visually light. From the side, you read a calm wooden plane resting on a graphic, airy support. The contrast between pale wood and matte black metal gives the piece a distinctly modern edge, but the absence of ornament keeps it versatile, able to blend into industrial, Nordic or eclectic interiors with equal ease.
With its 160 x 90 cm rectangular footprint, the MESA table works especially well in the center of a dining nook or open-plan living room. Leave at least seventy-five to eighty centimeters of clearance on each side so chairs can slide back comfortably. In a kitchen-dining layout, align MESA with an island or counter so the black metal base echoes dark appliances or fixtures. In a dedicated dining room, anchor it over a large rectangular rug to define the zone clearly. You can also explore similar pieces in our dining table collection to complete the space with a matching console or side table. Placed parallel to a window, the light on the mango top will shift throughout the day, enhancing the wood grain and giving the room a gentle, changing rhythm.
To maintain long-term harmony around the MESA table, build your scheme around its two key elements: natural mango wood and black metal. Repeat these quietly in shelving, lighting or chair frames to keep the space visually connected even as you update accessories. Chairs with slim black legs will echo the star base, while seats in tan, caramel or sand will resonate with the top’s warm tone. Over time, you might rotate the table to run parallel with a sofa or perpendicular to a patio door; its simple rectangle and central base make these changes easy without disturbing balance. Textiles in muted greens, rusts or off-whites will flatter the wood’s color, creating a palette that can evolve gently. By letting MESA remain the calm, structured centerpiece, you can experiment around it without losing coherence.
