Dining table ATLAS brown wood and black metal IXIA

The Dining table ATLAS brown wood and black metal IXIA is designed to become the natural focal point of your living space. Its generous round top in dark brown wood and its sculptural base in black metal create a welcoming island in the middle of a living-dining room, a kitchen with an eating area or a bright bay-window corner. The circular shape encourages eye contact and smooth conversation, while the absence of corners softens the perception of space, particularly in compact rooms. Placed under a pendant light or near a calm wall, ATLAS structures the room without overwhelming it, offering enough surface for everyday meals, work sessions or board games. This table’s balance between warm wood and graphic metal gives it a quiet confidence, allowing it to coexist easily with existing chairs and storage, while still giving the dining area a clearly defined identity.

Visual design and finishes

The Dining table ATLAS brown wood and black metal IXIA stands out with its perfectly round top, whose subtly softened edge line gives it a gentle outline. The dark brown wood surface reads as warm and inviting, with a thickness that provides presence without appearing blocky. Below, four slender black metal legs emerge from a central junction and splay outward, forming a star-like structure that feels airy and open. This angled base introduces movement and rhythm, creating changing graphic views as you walk around the table. The open space between the legs keeps the silhouette light and makes it easy to slide chairs around the perimeter. The combination of the deep wooden tone and the matte black metal creates a refined contrast that fits effortlessly into contemporary, industrial-influenced or simply minimal interiors, offering a design statement that remains understated rather than showy.

Why this table works

• Round dark brown top softens the room’s geometry, avoiding sharp corners and creating a friendly centre for meals, games and long conversations.
• Black metal legs splayed from a central hub form a graphic, sculptural base that keeps the table visually light while clearly structuring the space.
• Balanced diameter comfortably suits everyday use in dining nooks, open-plan living rooms or smaller city apartments without dominating the layout.
• Contrast between warm wood and black metal makes pairing with existing chairs, sideboards or shelving straightforward across many interior styles.
• Design coordinates naturally with other contemporary pieces, including options from our modern dining tables selection, helping unify the overall dining area.

Where and how to place it

With its 120 cm diameter, the ATLAS table lends itself well to the centre of a modest dining room or the dining zone of an open-plan space. Place it so that the splayed legs remain visible from at least one main viewpoint; this highlights the sculptural base and keeps the room feeling dynamic. A round rug slightly wider than the tabletop will echo its shape and visually anchor the arrangement, while still leaving circulation all around. In a kitchen, position ATLAS near natural light to let the dark wood top subtly catch reflections. Surround it with slim, open-backed chairs to preserve the sense of lightness. Against a calm background wall, the mix of brown wood and black metal will read clearly. Lasting decorative coherence

To ensure long-term visual harmony around the ATLAS table, think in terms of recurring materials and tones. Let the dark brown top be the deepest wooden note in the room, then introduce lighter woods for storage pieces to create gentle contrast. Echo the black metal of the legs in lamp stands, picture frames or chair bases, so the table feels naturally tied into the wider composition. Over time, you can reposition ATLAS from a dining corner to a more central living area simply by adjusting rugs, wall colours and chair styles. Neutral backdrops in warm whites, greige or soft taupe will emphasise the interplay between wood and metal, while stronger colours can be introduced through textiles and accessories that are easy to refresh. This approach keeps the table visually relevant as your tastes evolve, without demanding a complete rethink of the space.
