BASILE swivel armchair olive green polyester

The BASILE olive green swivel armchair instantly brings a warm, contemporary note to a living room, reading corner or spacious bedroom. Its generous 80 × 72 × 63 cm proportions create a welcoming silhouette, while the polyester upholstery wraps the seat in a visually soft fabric. Thanks to the discreet swivel base, you can easily turn towards the television, the window or your guests without moving the whole chair. The rounded shape breaks up straight lines from a sofa and coffee table, helping you define a cosy lounge area. Positioned next to a floor lamp and small side table, the armchair becomes an inviting spot for reading or relaxing. The olive green tone is subtle yet characterful, pairing well with light woods, black metal details or neutral textiles. This BASILE armchair works particularly well in modern interiors where you want a standout seat that still blends naturally with existing furniture.

A design that immediately catches the eye

The BASILE armchair stands out with its generous pebble-like volume resting on an almost hidden swivel base, giving it a grounded yet airy presence. The curved backrest flows seamlessly into the armrests, avoiding harsh angles and reinforcing the enveloping effect that defines its character. Visually, this creates a cocoon shape, perfect for carving out an intimate corner within a larger open-plan room or studio. The polyester upholstery has a slightly textured appearance, catching the light and contrasting nicely with smooth flooring, stone tiles or a short-pile rug. The olive green colour adds depth and a natural note, especially when combined with beige cushions, ecru tones or a chunky knitted throw. From both front and side views, the relatively low back balances the wide 80 cm seat so the chair does not overpower the room. Instead, it anchors the seating area while keeping the overall perspective light, fluid and easy to rearrange over time.

In which room should you place this product?

The BASILE swivel armchair is a natural choice for the living room, where it can complement a straight or corner sofa with a more enveloping seat. Position it slightly off the coffee table, angled towards the television or fireplace, to create a privileged spot. In a home office, it can serve as a relaxed thinking chair, placed beside a bookcase or near a window. Its 63 cm height and 72 cm depth work with most layouts, without blocking circulation paths. In a master bedroom, it becomes a cosy reading corner when combined with a floor lamp and small rug. To refine your arrangement, explore the selection within the Armchair category, mixing this design with other seating pieces. The olive green tone pairs particularly well with light walls, natural curtains and warm wooden finishes.

An ideal choice for a bold decor

Choosing the BASILE olive green armchair means introducing a statement piece that still remains remarkably easy to coordinate with existing furniture. Its rounded silhouette provides a gentle counterpoint to linear sofas, sideboards and coffee tables, softening the overall look of a room dominated by straight lines. The almost hidden swivel base keeps the design visually clean while adding an appreciated everyday function for conversation and changing views. The slightly mottled polyester texture brings depth without visual clutter, offering a calm background for patterned cushions, graphic throws or textured blankets. This armchair adapts equally well to minimal, contemporary interiors and to more eclectic spaces, depending on the accessories and colours you choose around it. By considering it early in your layout planning, you gain a clear volumetric anchor around which to arrange rugs, side tables and lighting, ensuring long-term visual coherence and comfort in your living areas.
