The Decorative cabinet ORIENTE petrol blue and gold fittings IXIA introduces a tall, slim accent that instantly structures a wall in a living room. Its vertical format makes it particularly effective beside a sofa, framing a reading corner or finishing the end of a sideboard run without overwhelming the space. The narrow footprint allows the cabinet to slip into smaller rooms, hallways or studio apartments, where every centimetre of floor area counts. Petrol blue gives the piece a deep, enveloping presence, while the golden fittings catch the light in a refined, understated way. The small lower drawer adds a practical and visual base, grounding the silhouette. Short legs lift the cabinet slightly from the floor, giving a sense of lightness that helps it coexist with existing furniture. Whether used to store everyday belongings or to stage favourite objects behind the doors, this cabinet becomes a decorative marker in the room.
The Decorative cabinet ORIENTE petrol blue and gold fittings IXIA is defined by its tall, slender volume, almost like a vertical panel sculpted into storage. Two doors occupy most of the front, their simple surfaces framed by a fine golden border tracing the perimeter and emphasising the cabinet’s height. At the centre, a round brass-coloured fitting acts as both handle and ornament, creating a calm focal point that breaks up the vertical lines with a soft circular shape. The petrol blue tone is dense yet muted, giving depth without dominating the entire room. Below, a modest drawer visually thickens the base, subtly balancing the long proportions. Short, slightly recessed legs allow a glimpse of the floor beneath, helping the piece feel lighter and more refined. The overall impression is of a cabinet that behaves almost like a decorative panel, bringing colour, rhythm and a touch of graphic precision to any wall.
In a living room, position the Decorative cabinet ORIENTE petrol blue and gold fittings IXIA on a relatively plain wall so its colour and golden lines can stand out. It works well beside a sofa arm, creating a tall backdrop for a reading lamp placed nearby, or at the end of a low sideboard to introduce height and balance. In a hallway or small entrance, its narrow depth helps maintain a clear path while offering storage for accessories or documents. To avoid clashes, leave enough space for the doors to open fully, especially near corners or other furniture. Petrol blue resonates beautifully with off-white or light grey walls, which reflect light onto the gold detailing. For a coherent storage ensemble, you can explore other options in our decorative cabinet selection, combining pieces at different heights to articulate the room.
To build long-term decorative coherence around the Decorative cabinet ORIENTE petrol blue and gold fittings IXIA, consider the cabinet as a vertical colour anchor in the room. Petrol blue pairs easily with light woods, which soften its depth, or with dark wood elements for a more enveloping, intimate mood. The golden accents invite subtle echoes: a lamp base, picture frames or a mirror with a warm metallic finish can pick up this detail without creating an overly shiny look. Because the design is clean and not tied to one specific style, the cabinet can move from living room to bedroom or home office as your needs change. Combine it with plain textiles in sand, ivory or clay tones so patterns do not compete with the front. Over time, this piece can remain a stable visual reference point, even as surrounding furniture, artwork or wall colours evolve.
