The Chest of drawers ORIENTE petrol blue with gold fittings IXIA brings a strong vertical accent to interiors, perfect against a calm living-room wall. Its tall, slim structure uses height rather than floor area, ideal when storage is needed but circulation must stay open. Behind the upper and lower pairs of doors, you can organise larger items, while the central smaller drawers invite everyday objects to be kept close at hand but out of sight. The deep petrol blue finish immediately enriches the room, even when the top remains almost empty. Gold-toned fittings underline each door and drawer, transforming functional details into discreet ornament. Positioned beside a sofa, near a reading nook or as a transition piece next to a dining area, this chest anchors the space elegantly. In a generous hallway it also works as a visual stop, giving rhythm to the passage without overwhelming the architecture.
Visually, the Chest of drawers ORIENTE petrol blue with gold fittings IXIA stands out through its upright, column-like profile, which stretches the eye upward. The body forms a compact block in uniform petrol blue, creating a calm, dense colour field. This surface is finely punctuated by gold fittings: handles, knobs and hinges align into subtle vertical and horizontal lines, almost like a minimalist pattern. At the top and bottom, paired doors hide larger storage volumes; between them, a section of smaller stacked drawers structures the centre and adds an elegant break in the façade. Short legs, slightly set back from the edges, raise the piece lightly from the floor while preserving a solid stance. The restrained depth keeps the silhouette sleek, allowing the front composition of doors, drawers and hardware to take visual precedence and turn the chest into a decorative panel as much as a storage unit.
With its 131 cm height and only 63 cm width, this chest fits where a low sideboard might feel too bulky. In the living room, place it on a quieter wall, allowing the petrol blue façade to read almost like a colour block between artworks or shelves. In a hallway, it can occupy the end of a perspective, drawing the eye forward while keeping floor passage clear. In a bedroom, align it with the bed foot or opposite a wardrobe to create an additional vertical axis of storage. Keep the top surface curated: a single lamp, a framed print or a sculptural vase is enough. If you wish to pair it with other storage pieces, explore our wider selection of design chests of drawers and cabinets to build a coherent arrangement across your rooms.
Over time, the Chest of drawers ORIENTE petrol blue with gold fittings IXIA can anchor different decorative moods without losing its identity. To maintain harmony, echo the petrol blue in small touches: a cushion, a patterned rug detail or a stripe on a poster. Surround it with mid-tone to dark woods to underline its depth, or with light oak and natural fibres to create a more airy balance. Gold and brass accents in lighting, picture frames or curtain rods will naturally connect with the fittings, tying separate corners of the room together. If you rearrange furniture later, the chest’s slim width lets it migrate easily from living room to bedroom or study while still working as a vertical colour statement. By keeping the palette around it controlled and repeating its metallic notes, you ensure coherent, evolving interiors centred on this expressive piece.
