Side table AVIO natural oak Blomus

The Side table AVIO natural oak Blomus brings a sculptural note to the living room when placed beside a sofa or armchair. Its pale oak top appears like two soft islands separated by a precise central cut-out, giving the surface rhythm and lightness. At the end of a couch, it becomes an elegant landing spot for a reading lamp, remote controls and a favourite cup. The low 38 cm height keeps it visually discreet, while the 80 cm length offers a generous, usable line of surface. Subtle wood grain runs along the natural finish, warming up neutral interiors and balancing darker upholstery. The two angled, tapering legs contribute a sense of movement without cluttering the floor. AVIO feels at home in a minimalist space, but also slips easily into eclectic rooms as a calm, contemporary counterpoint that doesn’t overpower surrounding pieces.

Visual design and expression

The Side table AVIO natural oak Blomus stands out through its unusual top: two rounded lobes separated by a clean central gap. This opening breaks up the mass of the wood, creating an airy, graphic line that guides the eye along the 80 cm length. The pale natural oak finish highlights quiet grain patterns, avoiding excessive contrast while still giving texture and depth. The edges of the top are gently softened, enhancing the organic, pebble-like impression of the two halves. Beneath, two legs set at an angle and subtly tapered toward the floor anchor the composition. They introduce a dynamic diagonal that contrasts with the elongated horizontal of the top. With its 40 cm width, the table remains slim, ideal for narrow spaces. The low 38 cm profile keeps it close to seat height, visually connected to surrounding sofas, armchairs or lounge chairs.

Why this piece is worth choosing

• Distinctive dual-lobe top with central cut-out gives character while neatly separating a lamp, decorative object and everyday essentials.
• Pale natural oak tone coordinates easily with light Scandinavian palettes, colourful textiles or dark leather without visual conflict.
• Elongated 80 cm format provides real surface next to a sofa yet stays compact in depth, preserving walkways and open floor.
• Angled, tapering legs add movement and elegance, revealing the table’s silhouette when viewed from the side and emphasizing the slim footprint beneath the 40-by-80-centimetre top.
• Contemporary, understated design pairs effortlessly with other pieces from our curated side table collection for a coherent living area.

Where to place this side table

The Side table AVIO natural oak Blomus works particularly well at the end of a sofa, aligned with the armrest so its elongated top extends the seating line. Leave a small gap of a few centimetres between sofa and table to keep the central opening and angled legs visible. In compact living rooms, its 40 cm width allows it to slide along a wall without jutting into circulation zones. Between two armchairs, AVIO creates a shared platform for a lamp and drinks; allow at least 40 cm between seats for comfortable movement. In a bedroom, it can serve as a low bedside table, ideal beside a box-spring or futon-style bed. It also fits under a window as a light display surface for plants and books, maintaining the sill view thanks to its modest 38 cm height.

Lasting decorative coherence

The Side table AVIO natural oak Blomus offers a balanced, neutral base that supports evolving interiors over time. Its pale oak surface pairs effortlessly with white or warm grey walls, letting you change accent colours seasonally without clashing. Combine it with soft textiles in sand, taupe or muted green to echo the natural feel of the wood. The rounded top suggests pairing with curved sofas, poufs or rounded vases, while the linear format resonates with rectangular rugs and artwork. As you rearrange furniture, AVIO can migrate from living room to office or guest room, continuing to function as a side or display table. To maintain visual coherence, echo its slender legs with similarly fine lamp bases or open metal shelving, ensuring the overall atmosphere stays light, calm and visually connected.
