IXIA pale green two-seat sofa with soft loose cushions

IXIA lists this sofa as green, though the official images show a very pale shade that can look sandy in some light. Two broad seats, two large back cushions and smaller side cushions give the compact sofa its relaxed outline. The base is covered to the floor. IXIA specifies 80% cotton and 20% linen upholstery, a pine frame and black PVC feet requiring assembly.

Design and materials

The sewn edges of the seats cast a soft shadow across the plain base. Back cushions meet at the centre, and the smaller cushions lean toward the seats. In the cutout view, seams and folds explain the shape more than the subtle colour does.

Why choose this sofa?

• Pale green nuances a bright room.
• Two bordered seats shape the front.
• Side cushions soften the arms.
• The covered base calms the volume.
• Cotton and linen form the upholstery.

Where should it go?

Set it against a warm white wall to keep the green quiet, or beside dark wood to reveal the hue. Leave the front visible beyond a small low table. Check the overall dimensions before placing it near a doorway.

A considered interior choice

A dark table and a deeper green plant can make the pale shade more legible without adding a bold pattern. Limit extra cushions so the sewn borders remain visible. Timber and matte ceramics work with the confirmed cotton and linen fabric.
