Table lamp CHARGE concrete and chrome Sompex

The Table lamp CHARGE concrete and chrome Sompex brings an urban, graphic note to a low side table in the living room or a hallway console. Its cylindrical concrete base feels unapologetically raw, while the smooth chrome band above catches surrounding light and reflects the room in a discreet shimmer. On top, the exposed round filament bulb becomes a small luminous sculpture, turning even a simple shelf into a scene. Compact, low and visually grounded, this lamp naturally fits beside a sofa to mark a reading corner, at the edge of a TV unit or on a minimalist bookcase. It particularly suits contemporary and industrial-inspired interiors, as well as uncluttered spaces that benefit from a precise, characterful light accent. The interplay between matte concrete, shiny metal and the warm transparency of glass gives this piece a distinctive personality without overwhelming the decor.

Visual design and contemporary attitude

The CHARGE table lamp stands out thanks to its carefully controlled proportions: a clean concrete cylinder, free of ornament, topped by a sleek chrome ring. The tension between the matte, slightly textured grey base and the polished metallic band draws the eye, further emphasized by the generous round bulb. Its low profile keeps the composition close to the surface, so it reads as a luminous punctuation mark rather than a bulky object. The neutral concrete tone pairs gracefully with light wood, white lacquer or deep-coloured furniture, while the chrome catches delicate reflections from surrounding elements. The exposed filament bulb underlines a refined industrial spirit, leaning more towards graphic design than rough workshop style. Together, these elements create a compact, sculptural lamp that remains understated but instantly recognizable within the room.

Why choose this lamp

• Distinctive contrast between raw concrete and shiny chrome, ideal for adding a subtle industrial note to modern and minimalist interiors.
• Compact, low-height design that fits easily on narrow shelves, slim consoles or the corner of TV units without visual clutter.
• Exposed round filament bulb turns the light source into a decorative feature, perfect for atmospheric evening lighting in living spaces.
• Neutral grey and silver palette coordinates effortlessly with wood, coloured lacquer, glass or textile surfaces already present at home.
• Simple cylindrical silhouette combines harmoniously with other designs from the wider table lamp collection when layering multiple lights in one room.

Where this lamp works best

Thanks to its modest height, the CHARGE concrete and chrome table lamp is most effective at eye level when seated, placed on a side table next to the sofa or at the edge of a low cabinet. On a hallway console it highlights the drop zone for keys and mail while setting a welcoming tone. In the bedroom, it serves as a streamlined bedside lamp on a compact nightstand, leaving room for a book and glass of water. The solid-looking concrete base visually anchors it on lighter pieces such as metal-framed shelves or slim-legged sideboards. Use it in combination with a taller floor lamp or pendant to create layered lighting: this lamp defines intimate zones, while larger fixtures handle general brightness. Its disciplined footprint allows you to reposition it whenever you rework the room layout without struggling for space.

Long-term decorative coherence

The assertive grey concrete of the CHARGE lamp can become a recurring thread in your decor as your space evolves. Pair it with pale wood or oak furniture for a softer, Scandinavian-influenced balance, or with black matte pieces to underline its graphic side. The chrome band resonates nicely with existing metal elements such as door handles, table legs or picture frames, creating quiet visual echoes. Because its palette remains neutral, you can change wall colours, rugs or cushions over time while the lamp continues to fit in naturally. When rearranging furniture, its compact scale makes it easy to move from living room to office or bedroom, maintaining continuity across different zones. Textured grey throws, woven baskets or concrete-style planters will pick up the base tone and help the lamp feel intentionally integrated rather than added later.
