The Console table GLORIA clear glass and sculptural gold legs KARE Design instantly turns a simple passageway into a curated scene. Its long, slim rectangular glass top appears to float, resting on two wide, angular gold-toned pedestals that read almost like contemporary sculptures. In a hallway by the front door, it becomes an elegant landing strip for a lamp, a sculptural vase or a small tray for keys and post, while still keeping the circulation line visually open. The clear glass leaves the wall and floor visible, so even a narrow corridor feels lighter and more extended. At 81 cm high, it sits at a comfortable level to interact with on the way in or out. Whether you set it against a painted wall, textured wallpaper or exposed brick, GLORIA creates a strong geometric axis that welcomes you and frames the space without appearing heavy.
The GLORIA console is defined by the interplay between transparency and bold geometry. The top is a long, clear glass rectangle with crisp edges and a refined, slender thickness, creating a horizontal line that stretches 140 cm and visually enlarges the wall it leans against. Beneath, two substantial metal pedestals finished in a warm gold tone support the top. Each base forms a zigzag, almost mirrored profile, with angular surfaces that catch and reflect light differently as you move around the piece. This zigzag silhouette adds rhythm and a dynamic, graphic quality, contrasting with the calm, perfectly flat glass plane above. The open spaces between and around the pedestals ensure the design never feels bulky, even though the bases are visually strong. The juxtaposition of luminous glass and reflective gold metal gives the console a refined presence that suits both minimalist and more decorative interiors.
With its 140 cm length and 45 cm depth, the GLORIA console works beautifully in various transition spaces. In a hallway, center it on the longest wall so the slim glass top guides movement towards the main rooms, while the gold bases anchor the view. In a living room, position it behind a sofa to display books and lighting, or use it as a slim sideboard under a large horizontal artwork. The 81 cm height is comfortable for table lamps and decorative arrangements that sit just below eye level. In a dining area, it can frame the room along a wall, holding carafes and candles between meals. To explore other complementary models, browse the wider selection in our console tables collection. Wherever it goes, leave a clear strip of floor in front so the sculptural bases remain visible and the passage stays free.
To keep the GLORIA console visually relevant over time, build your scheme around its key elements: clear glass, warm gold and strong geometry. On the wall behind, soft neutrals like off-white, greige or stone allow the bases to stand out, while deeper tones such as ink blue or forest green dramatise the gold. Underfoot, a plain rug in natural fibres or a low-contrast pattern will frame the console without competing with its zigzag shape. When refreshing your decor, you can alternate between minimal, almost gallery-like styling – one sculptural vase or a pair of lamps – and more layered arrangements of books, framed photos and small objects. Because the top is transparent, consider accessories with interesting silhouettes or textured surfaces. By keeping a consistent palette of metals, glass and a few accent colours, you can rearrange pieces freely while maintaining a coherent, elegant axis in the room.
